Stupid Question, but...

I've started Stargate: Universe and I gotta say, while it's opening sequence is fairly cool, and the very first scene was pretty decent, I'm not liking it so far.

But that's not the question. The question is: if they've the comunication stones, and they've the database on Atlantis (which is, presumably, at this point in the timeline, still on Earth), why don't they look up Destiny and other ships like it in the Ancient database and see what they can do about it? Now, that's probably just me expecting too much from my television again, but still. I've only watched 4 episodes, and they may be getting there, but... I'm half convinced Rush is either out to Ascend or working for the Lucian Alliance. Something Machiavellian, at least. I hope it's not the latter - they bore me. Anyway, what little I've seen of him makes me inclined to say, McKay may be an ass, but at least he can back up his massive ego with, IDK, competance.

But whatever. I'm still debating on whether or not I'll even watch the rest the series. It just doesn't feel anything like the first too Stargates - like they're trying to make it sexy or something. Something different, at least. I might just start Battlestar Galactica out of spite.
