Stargate: Continuum commentary

What can be said about this movie? I mean, clearly it was enjoyable, and it was nice to get back to the gould after the Ori, but....

Idk. It's a solid movie. It would have made for a solid 2-part episode. It was the kind of story that made me love SG1 in the first place. But... idk. It leaves you wanting more, but itself did very little to progress the series as a whole. I love that all the old charectors and villians came back... I love that Vala got to be Qetesh, who as a throughly interesting baddie (and I loved her costume too)... but....

Idk. I think, again, it's the lack of plot advancement that makes me kinda iffy about this movie. Granted, the whole Landry-SG1 convo in the hangar in Alaska was just amazing, and the whole 1/4 screen part just before that where they were all being questioned was a just lovely, brilliant way to do that.... and I'll even give you that the Teal'c-team scene in Russia was how the whole Teal'c-betraying-his-master scene should have gone down in the first place. But...

But...

I'm ambivilant, which is an odd thing to be for such a decent movie.

Oh well. SGA is calling.
