So, I told you guys about watching the Royal Shakespere's latest version of Hamlet the other day right (and downloading it from iTunes after), right? And how everything I've ever seen David Tennant in has had him playing someone insane, or insanely genius, et cetera? Well, as I was falling asleep last night, I had the best idea ever:
A Star Trek (2009) sequel with Tennant as Q!
Yes that's right folks. Tennant as Q... there are no words for the awesomeness this could be. Oh, don't get me wrong, John de Lancie's Q was phenomenal (perticularly in TNG), but a ST:IX with Q absoluetly, postively, must have said Q played by David Tennant. I've no idea how it would work into the story, Q's presence - there are those that maintain the force the TOS Enterprise met in "Where No Man Has Gone Before" was the Q Continuum (and, yes, that is apparently how you spell it); maybe the movie could have something to do with that? - but it would just be...
Tennant as Crouch Jr. was creepy and brillliant. Tennant as Halmlet was absoluetly the embodiment of what I think of when I think of Hamlet, and, again, was brilliant, Tennant as The Doctor was just amazing and 10 will always remain my favourite Doctor... I think there are distinct possibilites for wonderful if he ever were to play Q.
That being said, it seems I'm no longer able to link to anything on lj, but, in looking up a link before I discovered said problem, I discovered that there are very strong rumours-that-have-been-confirmed-by-many-b
