I am a fan of irony in all its forms. Through it, I get undo pleasure when I watch Doctor Who and see that Roger Lloyd-Pack, who played Barty Couch Sr. in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, plays the villan John Lumic in "Rise fo the Cybermen" and "The Age of Steel." Especially as David Tennant, the Tenth Doctor, played Death Eather Barty Couch Jr. in HP.

My main reason for my current irony giddiness? Well, today's Willam Shatner's 80th birthday, which is somehow worth a laugh itself. And, just think about it, Shatner plays James T Kirk, the honest-to-God well-rounded, Iowa-corn-raised, all-American captain of the starship Enterprise. And he's Canadian.

Idk, maybe it's not as funny as I seem to think. Maybe my system is still in shock after the hour I spent lazing in the sun after a winter, well, without. But I felt that was worth sharing.

Oh, and I also started Apollo 13, the book by Jim Lovell and Jeffery Kluger about, well, Apollo 13, which the movie of the same name was based off of. It's really good. The first chapter is about how Lovell was eating dinner at the White House during the Apollo 1 catastrophe. It's... well, it's tear jerking. But I tend to tear up a lot where the space missions are involved.
