In physics, the principle of locality states that an object is influenced directly only by its immediate surroundings. A physical theory is said to be a local theory if it is consistent with the principle of locality. To date, no test has simultaneously closed all loopholes to the idea that entangled particles violate the principle of locality or engage in superluminal communication. [x]
Forces cannot act at a distance. For two objects to affect each other, they much somehow touch. This can be seen with atoms and gravity and electrical fields - and with lives. Each affects the other, and the other affects the next, and the world is full of stories, but the stories are all one. [x]
So it is with Locality.
Locality is the unholy merging of two series in progress, one that has thankfully been completed, and another that has not yet been written. Just as Stargate: SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, and Stargate: Universe have a common origin, these stories evolve and spin into each other. While knowledge of one is not needed to read any other, they all form part of a common history and head!canon that becomes the Locality universe.
This includes (in chronological order):
- Sights Unseen: A series of canon-compliant drabbles covering the first three seasons of SG-1.
- Unfinished Business: A series of Sam/Jack heavy missing moment's spanning Stargate SG-1's fourth through seventh seasons following Sights Unseen. (WIP)
- Hidden in the Light: A series of short stories covering SG-1's eight thru tenth seasons following Unfinished Business. (TBA)
- The Ancient!John 'verse: An AU retelling of SGA involving a vast many stories and drabbles.
