Tomorrow is the start of Spring Break, which is so amazingly welcome I don't even have words. Granted, I'd prefer this to come with a bit more spring - it snowed on monday, and is threatening snow again tonight - but we've had some warm days. Not enough, but it's getting there. I am so ready for winter to be over.

In other news, I turned in my two weeks notice at Lowes Foods, so I'll just be working the one on-campus job for now. And since they've promised to keep me thru graduation (including summers) I'm not overly worried about this. I had to, though, for my sanity. And, yes, I feel really bad doing it with my boss still out for her surgery and the other guy working only one day a week while the ski season is still going (he's also a ski instructor), but school is more important. And while this week wasn't as bad as last, I still have had two tests and a quiz due this week, as well as part 1 of a major programing assignment and the start of a Java Lab to work on.

The new job is very happy with my work still, and I'm enjoying it - though I'm glad they're finally done messing around with the info grams. I've just the usual webpage updating/creation to do now, and that's not that bad, though I've a whole subsection to create by Earth Day. And they're threatening to use some of my designs as part of their campus-wide campaign to reduce energy usage. (We are a very green campus; the whole city is a remarkable bastion of liberal thinking in the dark, deep heart of the conservative south. Granted, go ten miles in any direction and that reverts back drastically, but the upshot is that the campus is pretty open minded).

We've finally got the LEDs from China for our group project, so I've spent a lot of my evenings this week soldering. It's kinda fun, even if the room's poorly ventilated and we've only two soldering irons to go around. I'm enjoying it, at least. It'll be another week or two of this, and then we get to the programing. But I've an Arduino to mess around with at home how, and so that should be fun.

The gluten-free, dairy-free thing is hard to keep up, especially on days I'm on campus all day, but it's worth it. I'm feeling tones better. Though, sadly, most gluten-free baked goods leave a lot to be desired in taste. My brother's birthday is next week, and dad promised to make a cake. And then he said that he'd make a cake for my birthday as well, the week after, and I reminded him about the diet thing. And he was like, "I'll make it anyway," with the intent of eating it himself, but... I guess that's about as well as can be expected. He's using it as an excuse not to have to feed me, which is total BS but okay. It's not the end of the world, and I can at least afford to feed myself now.

What else?

Progress on the S3 finale goes super slow, mostly because of lack of time and overwhelming personal expectations. I hope to get it out over Spring Break. (yn)

Also, I'm about halfway through Les Miserables, and while I found most of Book 2 dreadful (too much Waterloo, too much about nunneries, and too much of what reads to a modern eye as pedophilia), but Book 3 is proving very good, with odd moments of hilarity. Although I still am eagerly awaiting the appearance of the Barricade Boys.

Well, I can't think of anything else to say, but rest assured I'm alive. And I'm sorry if I worried any of you, posting a couple worrisome posts before going silent for a few days. I didn't mean to. Swear. (Though it's nice to know you care).
