T-24 and counting

IDK if you've noticed, but I tend to get, well, stranger around the holiday season. Which is mainly to say that, in addition to my normal issues, I also tend to:

  1. want to stage a proletariat revolution because of the blatant consumerism / capitalism run amok in society

  2. interested enough in random religions to research them to the end of the earth, but eventually become further disillusioned by all of them

  3. nostaligic.

It is the third one that leads me to write this post today.

I blame the Xmas cards, I really do. But as I was writing them out, I was getting really sad - but in a good way - because there are no words for what you guys have done for me. I am not kidding when I say that your friendship has probably saved my life.

I've always been depressive, to the point where my 10th grade best friend game me a self-help book for overcoming depression for my 16th birthday, but you know the emotional wreak I was in SEPS / right after being discharged. I'm fairly certain, if left to my own devices, I wouldn't be here this holiday season.

And people say that online friendships aren't meaningful. Well frak that. I love you guys more than I've ever cared for any of my RL friends. It doesn't matter that I may not know many of your real names, or anything about you more than you care to share with me, but it's real and it's deep and I know that each and every one of you are always going to be there for me, just like I'm always going to be there for you.

I love you guys, I really do, and I'm so glad to know each and every one of you.
I'm certainly glad you're still around. I'm glad I could help you in some way :) I'm always here for you~ I hate when people try to demean online relationships like they don't matter. I've had two teachers tell me similar things and it always makes me angry.

You mean a lot to me, whether or not our conversations take place face-to-face.
*HUGS* I'm so glad I know you too! And who cares what others say, you find friends through lots of mediums, and they are just as real and valuable as RL friends. To me too, many of you feel closer than most I have here.

And your card is already in the mail! I had to send it early, because there was a possibility of postal workers going on strike. Don't know when it'll arrive, but keep waiting! ^_^
Yours is in the mail just as soon as I can get to the post office.

I'm glad to know you too bb.
