More Randomness

I've come to the conclusion that one of the main reasons that homosexual relationships occur so relatively infrequently in mass media is that it's a pain simply trying to keep the pronouns straight.

(I so reread that last sentence and burst out laughing. Straight pronouns, when talking about slash... Yeah, I'm not nearly as funny as I think, am I?)

Needless to say, that leaves either the rather tiresome option of having to repeat the character's names multiple, clunky times, or use epithets, which I find happens a lot in particularly bad fanfiction. Either way, it's annoying. IDK to blame the English language or my own sad, pathetic writing abilities.

Yeah, I understand. I mean, I do get that it's sometimes tiring to read "John did this, John did that-" over and over again. But using "the scientist" or "the Colonel" never seems to go over well, either.
I know, but what can you do? I mean, honestly, you try everything, and then it's....

yeah. I'm almost at the point of making up my own pronouns, just to make things simpler.

I like this idea XD
you sometimes see "ze" in AU fics where everyone's culturally bisexual, but it's just not the same

English sucks.
I...don't recall ever reading "ze" in a fic before. Or maybe I have and I just assumed it was a typo.
I'm sure I saw it in "Coming Home," which I'm also sure I saw in your 125 fic meme.

But I could just be insane, It's entirely possible
eh.

either the internet, my mail server, or lj is being stupid, 'cause I'm not getting any of the notifcations I should - and, when I do, they're hours late. god.
