Meme time

Comment to this post, and I will list seven things I want you to talk about. They might make sense or they might be totally random.

Then post that list, with your commentary, to your journal. Other people can get lists from you, and the meme merrily perpetuates itself.

Here are my questions from[info]squidgiepdx:

1) PC or Mac, and why?

I've always been a PC person, mostly because that's what I've always used. I'm planning on getting a new comp in a couple of months, though, and my brother has this MacBook Air that I'm exceptionally jealous of, so I may end up converting. We'll just have to see.

2) What is your charity of choice?

HEIFER International. It's the teaching a man to fish part of the old saying.

3) What was the last car that you drove that wasn't your own?

Have to think for this one, but I'm pretty sure it was my mom's Civic on the way back from The Airborne Toxic Event concert last Thanksgiving. She doesn't even own that car anymore, it's been so long.

4) What city would you like to retire to?

Not a city. But I'm planning on saving up and buying land in the Olympic Peninsula to build a house to retire on.... Dad was stationed at Fort Lewis for a while and I loved it, and I think it'd be amazing to move back there.

5) What brought you to LJ in the first place - people or fandom? If fandom, which one?

Fandom. All the good ST:IX fics were on lj, so I joined up so I could leave comments. Now I'm sort of a permanent squatter.

6) What book would you like to see made into a movie, and who would you cast in it?

God that's a hard one. Actually, no, it isn't. I'd like to see the entire Foundation triology turned into a movie, or series of movies. I think that might be more impossible than LotR, though, 'cause the cast is just so large and spread out through so many hundreds of years.

7) If you could watch the discovery of one thing from history, what would it be?

Hmmmm.... I'd have to say my ideal answer for this is the day - and I mean the exact time and place - when humanity learns it's not alone in the universe. But if it has to be something that's already happened, I'd say the moon landing. (You can tell I'm a SyFy nerd, can't you?)
